Hormone Bootcamp

Yep, it’s been a while. It was a crazy busy fall, and as typical when it gets busy, my good eating habits went all to hell in a handbasket. Working every day for 2 months can do that to you!

So when we got to December, I knew I had to do something for myself. I was tired of feeling tired, stressed with no energy all the time. I’ve been getting my naturopath, Dr. Turner’s, email newsletter for quite a while, and have wanted to sign up for her Hormone Bootcamp for a while. And when I went on December 29 to buy supplements, I finally did it.

We started on January 22, and so far, I can say that this is one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself. I bought the option with personal training, so it covers classes with Dr. Turner, supplements and personal training sessions. (more…)

Not sure if you’ve heard of a little store called Lululemon?

Anyone who knows me knows how much I LOVE this brand. Yes, I love the brand (and…here comes my geeky marketer and a side lesson in branding). Lululemon is a lifestyle brand. They not only show it in their clothes (quality, design, materials), but in what they believe in, what they stand for, and how they treat their customer. As an example, if you haven’t seen their Goaltender website, you should check it out. I also love their manifesto…I find it so inspiring. I can’t count how many times I’ve heard comments about their clothes being expensive, but these are clothes that last, and it is a brand that I believe in (and it’s Canadian – even better!). Here’s an example:  I’ve had a pair of yoga pants for 7 years, and they are still black and not stretched out. Awesome. (more…)
